The end of winter normally means the diary becomes busier and this year is shaping up to be no exception.
The Scottish Cartoon Art Studio's long-running Fizzers®: 10 Years of Caricature exhibition draws to a close this month. I'll be giving a guided tour on the 5th and conduct a cartoon and caricature career lecture for 16 to 24 years old on the 17th. Both events are free but must be pre-booked. Also on the 8th I'll be working with pupils at John Paul II Primary, Castlemilk who particularly distinguished themselves during our schools competition last year.
In my capacity as a CRNI board member and regional representative I'm extremely honoured to be one of the invited speakers at La Presse en Liberté, a week-long exhibition and series of round-tables at UNESCO in Paris. I'm grateful to the organisers, Jérôme Liniger and Nicolas Jacquette of Studio-Irresistible as well as the Ambassadors of Switzerland and France to UNESCO and the Confrérie des Companions de Gutenberg. More on this exciting event later in the coming weeks.
I've been part of Stirling Libraries' Off the Page Festival programme several times in the past and will be back again to deliver a "Heroes & Villains" workshop for primary school pupils in Cowie Library, 16.00-15.00 on the 11th of May. Tickets £2.
